According to the MP Hadrien Clouet (LFI), a Toulouse police officer concealing his RIO number reportedly said “I've blinded three” (translated) while pressing on the injuries of a child or teenager; the Anadolu agency specifies that the video shows police officers with a young person who says he is in pain and that these elements have not been independently established. Image of the scene: Toulouse: video of officer reportedly saying “I've blinded three” (translated) to a youth; MP refers it to prosecutor

On Friday 2 October 2026, the Haute-Garonne LFI MP Hadrien Clouet posts on social media a video, which he presents as showing a Toulouse police officer, whose identification number (RIO) is reportedly concealed, saying “I’ve blinded three” (translated) while he is reportedly pressing on the injuries of a child or teenager (Anadolu, 03/10). He writes: “No degenerate who dreams of torturing kids has a place in the police” (translated) and says he has referred the matter to the public prosecutor.

According to Anadolu, the video shows police officers with a young person who says he is in pain; according to posts relaying the images, one of the police officers reportedly admitted not wearing an RIO. Anadolu specifies that these elements “have not, however, been independently established” (translated). In the version of the video reused in a compilation viewed for this entry, a young person with a blurred face is sitting on a pavement, surrounded by balaclava-wearing, equipped police officers, with subtitles added by a third party and the caption “Toulouse 02 October”; these additions are not a source.

The original video, posted by the MP (30 seconds, vertical format), was viewed again for this entry. It shows, in a residential street lined with houses and palm trees, several helmeted and balaclava-wearing police officers, some in “POLICE” vests, around a young person sitting or lying on the ground whose face is blurred; a dark minivan is parked nearby. Subtitles added in post-production display “And where’s your RIO?” and “On time!” (translated). No name of a lycée, street or shop is legible, and the images do not show an injury. On 3 October, an internet user reused the video, transcribing the exchange as follows: “— I’ve blinded 3! — Where’s your RIO? — I don’t have one! So what? What are you going to do?” (translated), and cites a Conseil d’État decision on the wearing of the RIO; this transcription is its author’s own, and no source read links this decision to this scene.

As of 4 October, neither the Toulouse public prosecutor’s office, nor the IGPN (police internal affairs), nor the prefecture had communicated on the authenticity of the images or on any investigation (Anadolu). No media outlet reporting its own verification was found (searches of 4 October).
