On the evening of Thursday 8 October 2026, an X account publishes a 15-second video bearing another account’s watermark and two overlaid texts: “When a police officer takes the opportunity to put his baton in a young person’s buttocks” and “Sexual assault” (translated). During the night, the X account Mandat Media relays it: “an officer is accused of having pushed his baton into a young person’s buttocks” (translated), and asks: “What really happened? Has an investigation been opened?” (translated)
The video, filmed in daylight under a clear sky, shows a line of helmeted CRS officers, with shields and batons, pushing back a group of young people on a wide avenue lined with recent buildings; a police vehicle fitted with a turret is visible behind the line. Someone can be heard shouting “The boss!” (translated). At the available resolution, the gesture denounced cannot be made out: batons can be seen held at waist height in contact with the young people, without it being possible to say where they touch.
