Image of the scene: Paris 19th: near Lycée Bergson, plainclothes police officers pin a young person down, one brandishes a baton

On Monday 5 October 2026 at 4:34 p.m. (Paris time), AB7 Média publishes on X a 24-second video that it says it received: “Plainclothes police officers intervene on the sidelines of the Lycée Bergson mobilisation in Paris. Nothing allows them to be identified, only the police officer with the black T-shirt wears an armband (he arrives after the start of the arrest).” (translated)

The video, filmed on a phone, shows a cobbled street lined with café terraces, in front of the sign of the Climbing District climbing gym, whose Buttes-Chaumont gym is at 55, rue de Meaux (Paris 19th), a few hundred metres from the Lycée Henri-Bergson; the map point is placed at this address. A kneeling man holds a young person down on the ground, joined by other men in plain clothes, including one in a black T-shirt; they hold him down several at once, one kneeling on him. A man in a grey sweatshirt holds an extended baton facing the people filming. Young people, several of them dressed in black, and photographers stand around. The video has no audible speech.

The same arrest (same men, same street) appears in a sequence of the video published earlier the same day by L’insoumission, which places the main scene of its video in Vincennes, near the Lycée Hector-Berlioz, and dates it to “this Monday morning” (translated); the message does not locate the other sequences. This Vincennes scene has its own entry: Vincennes, lycée Hector-Berlioz.
