  1. Law enforcement → peopleAllegedMinor injury

According to the account collected by Le Média, a CPE (school welfare officer) at an Essonne lycée, who stepped in for a student on the ground held by four police officers, says she was “violently shoved” by the police chief, fell on her back, received a kick in the ribs and was gassed on the ground; she describes pain in the neck, back, ribs and throat (severity retained from her own account, without a medical report). No authority confirms or denies.

  2. Law enforcement → peopleAllegedMinor injury

An LFI MP writes that the video shows a female student “hit in the face” who falls. In the video, a person falls onto the roadway near officers; the resolution does not allow a blow to the face to be made out. Severity: that of the act described by the MP (a blow to the face), no injury being reported.

Blows · Student (a girl, according to the MP)

Established: recognised by a magistrate, a video authenticated by a news outlet, or a medical report. Alleged: reported, neither confirmed nor denied. Disputed: reported, then denied by an authority.

Image of the scene: Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois: an MP shares a video of a fall before police; an Essonne CPE says she was shoved and gassed

On 1 October 2026 at 3:56 p.m. (UTC), LFI MP Antoine Léaument posts on X a 19-second video captioned: “Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois: a CPE pushed to the ground and a female student hit in the face who falls” (translated). In the video, filmed from the edge of a road in front of a national police van, a group of officers is visible near a building; a person in a light top and jeans approaches, then falls backwards onto the roadway and rolls on the ground, an officer holding a baton nearby, other officers grouped around a person on the ground. The video does not make it possible to see a blow to the face or to know who the person falling is. No lycée name appears in it.

On 2 October, Le Média publishes the account of a CPE at an Essonne lycée, without naming the town; the title of that article, however, speaks of “a lycée in Val-d’Oise” while its text says “Essonne (91)”: this internal contradiction is not resolved. She describes a “good-natured” blockade until it resumed around 2 p.m., the arrival of motorcycle officers then of police with shields whom she identifies as CRS riot police, a charge, then one of her students on the ground held by four police officers. She says she announced her role and was “violently shoved” by “the police chief”, fell on her back, received a kick in the ribs and was gassed on the ground. She mentions pain in the neck, back, ribs and throat, says she does not feel fit to return to work and plans to see her doctor; she is considering filing a complaint (no medical report is reported at this stage). Le Média says it is publishing images that “support” this account (translated).

None of the sources read expressly links this account to the scene in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois or to the MP’s video: the connection (same department, same day, a CPE shoved) is plausible but unconfirmed. No reaction from the prefecture, the public prosecutor’s office or the education authority (rectorat) was found.
